Welcome! My name is Vicki, and I am here to guide you on your journey toward better mental health and overall well-being.

I specialize in helping adults navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, work-related stress, and life transitions. My therapeutic approach is holistic and eclectic, blending evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Strength-Based Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, among others. To enhance our work together, I also incorporate creative tools such as art, journaling, mindfulness, and grounding exercises, all aimed at strengthening your coping skills and fostering deeper self-reflection.

I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees from National-Louis University, where I received a Master’s in Counseling and a Bachelor’s in Social and Behavioral Studies. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, offering both in-person and telehealth sessions to meet your needs. In addition to my role at Beautiful Mind Therapy, I provide individual and couples counseling and lead wellness and personal growth workshops at Northern Illinois University.

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it is a powerful step toward prioritizing your health and your future. In our work together, I will listen closely to your unique needs and collaborate with you to build a strong partnership that promotes growth, healing, and meaningful change.

Beyond my professional life, I have been a vegetarian since the age of 8 and have a deep love for animals, especially cats. I currently share my home with two young cats, Raisin and Rue. In my spare time, I enjoy activities like watching live theater, taking nature walks, practicing tai chi, laughing at stand-up comedy, shopping, and playing board games. Traveling is another passion of mine, and I’ve recently visited destinations like Aruba, London, Paris, and Vermont for a ski trip. I collect magnets from each place I visit, and my collection is growing! I also enjoy reading autobiographies, attending craft fairs, and spending quality time with my family.

Your path to improved mental health, self-acceptance, and personal growth is just one step away. Let’s take that step together and move toward a future filled with peace, joy, and limitless potential
